Tuttle Educational State Forest teaches the general public about the forest environment through ranger-led tours and classes, forest management demonstration areas, and exhibits. The forest is located between Lenoir and Morganton. A total of 290 acres of land allow for numerous hiking trails including the Talking Tree Trail, which tells tales of the area’s history and how trees are used.
